Does my child need experience or a tryout?

Not for Next Up Academy. Kids ages 4 to 18 of every level can register directly. Elite Competitive needs a quick evaluation first, and any open practice counts. Request one here.

How much does it cost?

Junior Academy (ages 4 & 5) is completely free, including a uniform. Next Up Academy fees are shown when you register, with monthly payment plans. Elite Competitive fees vary by team and are shared with your invitation. Uniforms are ordered separately through Capelli Sport. Financial assistance is available to eligible families, just ask us privately.

Where and when is practice?

All training is at Windwood Training Center, 10555 Spring Cypress Rd., Houston, TX 77070. Teams train twice a week between 6 and 9 PM for 60 to 90 minutes (Junior Academy once a week on Tuesdays). Games are on weekends between 8 AM and 4 PM depending on the league. Your team's exact schedule is in PlayMetrics.

When do seasons run?

Academy fall runs mid-August to mid-November, and spring runs mid-January to the end of April. Elite Competitive runs August to May, including winter training. Summer soccer is June and July and open to all, plus summer and winter camps.

Can we join mid-season?

Yes. Academy players can start any time and fees are prorated, so you only pay for what's left of the season. Elite Competitive is open year-round after an evaluation.

What should my player bring?

Water, cleats, shin guards and a ball (your coach will confirm the size). Wear comfortable soccer clothes to training. Match uniforms come from the Uniform page.

How will I get updates?

Everything runs through the PlayMetrics app: schedules, RSVPs, weather changes and messages from your coach. Check it before you head to the field, especially when the weather is iffy.

Do you have Spanish-speaking coaches?

Sí. We have Spanish-speaking coaches and staff, so every family can get answers in the language they're most comfortable with.

Can my player move up or play in college?

Players move up as they develop. That's a coaching decision based on growth, not a guarantee. Older Elite players get match footage, college showcases and ID camp guidance. See the College Pathway.
